Fly Yoga – Have you ever wanted to fly?

Have you ever wanted to fly? Or have a taste of circus?
You’ll be in the air (even if just one foot off the ground) during this workshop! No fitness or dance background required. This is open to beginners, including first-timers. So those who are looking for something new to try for fun or fitness (or both really) are welcome too.

Cost: The workshop is donation based so you may contribute whatever you can.

Duration: 2 hours which include warm-ups, an introduction to aerial arts and practice time on the silks. Don’t forget to bring your camera for all your aerial feats!

What to wear: Comfortable and stretchy clothing like leggings. No jewelery please, as it catches the silk that holds you.

Availability: Limited to 8 participants per workshop. Friends and family are welcome to watch.

Instructor: Saeeda Anjum

Born and raised in Dubai, Saeeda started dancing professionally at the age of fifteen. Her love of movement eventually led her to discover aerial arts, which she began training no more than two years ago. Given her experience in dance, she was a natural on silks and performed her first aerial silks showcase just two months after her very first class.

In October 2016, she began her full-time travel, continuing her aerial training around the world from London to Bangkok. With her honed skills, it was in South America where she started teaching aerial silks – mainly in Peru and Chile, where she found a love for sharing her passion with everyone. Saeeda believes anyone can fly if they wanted to – it’s all a matter of correct technique rather than strength. She often tells her beginner students, especially first-timers, “You don’t need upper body strength or flexibility to practice aerials. It’s the other way around – practicing aerials will give you upper body strength and flexibility.”
