The Underground Man, Shawn Basey, is an American singer, songwriter, accordionist, and one man bander whose style can only be said to emulate talking cats and rats banging on pipes. When he’s not drinking, he’s pretending to sing like a guy who smokes twenty packs a day. His biggest influences are Tom Waits, Captain Beefheart, and Howlin’ Wolf, and he proudly presents to you two sets of originals and covers so weird you’ll think they’re original.
