DIVE x Fabrika Cinemastan: Blue Planet II Episode 2 “The Deep”
TV shows are becoming more and more influential, experimental, expensive, sophisticated, diverse, popular, and, in the end, more and more artistic in our modern world. With such an exceptional, sublime masterpieces like Young Pope, American Gods, Westworld, Blue Planet, Rick and Morty, Fargo, popping up every year, made by the most prominent authors and starring the best performers, the TV shows are the field of art, where all the newest and most interesting things happen now.
Every week, on Mondays, one TV show will be presented, an episode will be shown (normally the very first one, but not necessarily) and, optionally, discussed.
This Monday DIVExDabrika will screen the British nature documentary series on marine life produced by BBC. It is narrated and presented by infamous naturalist Sir David Attenborough. Four years in the making, this latest seven-episode tour of the oceans came complete with a portentous soundtrack from composer Hans Zimmer and Radiohead singer and songwriter Thom Yorke. It also served as a reminder of the danger that our fragile world is in. So the aesthetically superb but often wounding series allows critics and audiences alike both marvel and think.
