Conference: Developing an Ecosystem of Creative Clusters

On October 18, there will be held a conference in Fabrika (jungle room) on the subject of LEPL. Creative Georgia Initiative Project “Developing an Ecosystem of Creative Clusters”. The conference will discuss experiences, challenges, and potentials in creating creative spaces, hubs and clusters.

The project is implemented within the EU/Unesco Expert Facility on the Governance of Culture in Developing Countries: Support for new regulatory frameworks to strengthen the cultural and creative industries and promote the South-South cooperation program and it aims to support a project in 12 countries.

The project will be implemented for two years (June 2019 – June 2021) and it aims to develop new regulatory frameworks for facilitating the creative industry ecosystem and cluster development; within the framework of the project, strategy and action plan will be developed. Invited experts will analyze current needs, necessities and potential of creative clusters. As well as, the existing legislative and fiscal framework will be analyzed and practical recommendations will be worked out in order to facilitate simplification of the process of formation of creative spaces and clusters throughout the country. Project implementation involves UNESCO International expert in the direction of Culture Policy – Lydia Varbanova (Bulgaria) and local expert.
